Jhinjhak
(A lovely place to discover)Jhinjhak is a small town in Kanpur Dehat District.
History of this place is not documented anywhere but according to saying There were many small kingdoms there , still we can found many old small forts in nearby areas like khanpur , Kishoura and in some other villeges nearby . There is very old cannal over bridge in the town which was constructed by Britishers before 1947.Almost 30 years back the most crowded place was Bada Chouraha which was connected to Sabji mandi via Kirana Gali and Kapda gali. Residential area was limited to Purani basti and few houses at main road Jhinjhak.The Major business of the people here was Galla (Buying and selling of Grains). Long back only few passenger trains used to stop at Jhinjhak Railway station including "Janta Express" .
Modern Jhinjhak:
After many years of independence we can observe many changes in this small town, Now there are many Banks , Colleges, Schools , hospitals and the residential area is also expanded almost 4th time.
There are many express , local trains halting at Jhinjhak railway station.
Chouta Chouraha , Bada Chouraha is the most common place for hangout where you can get various type of street food and many sweets shops.
There are many people from this town offering services in various Gov. and private organizations.
There are many temples in the town and a mosque at the main road.
How to Reach:
In the present time Jhinjhak is well connected to the major railway stations Kanpur , Delhi , Agra , Lucknow , Aligarh etc.
We can reach Jhinjhak via bus route also , Many private buses are running in the town to connect nearby towns Siknadra , Rasulabad , Rura , Akbarpur, Kanpur.
The nearest well functional airport is Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport about 175 km and is well connected by daily flights from Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Cochin and Bangalore. There is an Airport in Kanpur (Civil Aerodrome Kanpur Cantt) but it's restricted to very limited flights.
